ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Andrew Simpson has performed in over 20 theatre shows at the festival, throughout SA, the UK and Australia. Simpson’s shows have been among the top selling shows at the fringe for the past few years. He even performed personally for Former President Nelson Mandela in 2009. He brings his unique style to all of his very different theatre shows. Simpson always bring a feel-good and thought-provoking element to all of his shows. This year Simpson brings 3 productions – his new immersive theatre experience “The House of Shadows”, his sold-out murder mystery show “Death of a Donut” and the feel-good nostalgic show “The Time of your Life: The 90’s”.
Simpson has been described as one of SA’s top comedians by the Star Newspaper with his hit shows, the sold-out murder mystery, “To Kill a Koeksister” and the political parody “Lord of the Flings” which was described as “A Work of Pure Genius” by Purelylocal. He has also shown his range in the drama and theatre spaces with SA’s first horror show “Ghost Story”, and his multimedia experiences “Dreams” and “Forever Young” which was called “Unmissable” by the Herald.
