Written and Directed by Joseph Joy-Panie Moloko, Ends in Tears! is a theatre production about Gender Based Violence and its root causes. A respected police officer’s abusive childhood impacts on his ability to have positive relationships with his wife and step-daughter. This is a story that explores toxic relationships, the legacies of childhood trauma, and the difficulty of leaving.
The Play has been performed at Telling Stories Festival 2022, Taung Calabash 2022, and Matlosana CATA Play Festival 2021.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Joseph Panie Moloko (Father/Husband) started acting at the age of 13. He later joined the Matimba Youth Club where he grew his career in Theatre. He has written & directed a Musical Play called “The Lost Child”, which was awarded Most Promising Play, Best Novice Director and Best Actress at SANCTA One-ACT Play in 2009. He also wrote “INYEMBEZI – The Tears”, which was awarded Best Novice Director, Best Technical Excellency, Best Foyer, Most Promising Actress in Leading Role, Most Promising Actor in Leading Role, Best Musical Play, Best Ensemble and Best Original Script at SANCTA One-ACT Play in 2017. He has Written/Directed & Acted in The Play “Ends with Tears”, which was awarded Best Director, Best Original Script, Best Production at Telling Stories Arts Festival 2022 and participated at Taung Calabash hosted by Mmabana Arts & Culture.
Lerato Vinolia Hlatywayo (Wife/Mother) is originally from Jouberton in North West Province. She is a part time local TV Presenter at Platinum North West TV, and a part-time local Radio Personality at Star FM. She is an upcoming actress and Social Media guru.
Kelebogile Keagile (Daughter/Boitumelo) is a young model and fashionista. She started acting recently, but has a passion and hunger to grow. She has been spotted as one of the Most Promising Actress in Supporting Role for her character of Boitumelo in Ends with Tears.
