The once powerful Mbutha nation is confronted with mysterious deaths. The nation has been living under the ancient prophecy that “one day the world will come to an end”. There is confusion whether the prophesied ending has come. In the quest of finding answers the leadership of the king (King Langa) faces a difficult test of time. In foreign lands, unexpected conflict breaks out between men and women. The consequences of the conflict are controversial and deadly. Customary law, tradition, beliefs and culture of the nation are challenged. Can King Langa save his nation? It is yet to be seen.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
The Walter Sisulu University students from rural areas of Gcuwa in Eastern Cape known for bringing theatre to the people who have never experienced it. The group has staged different productions in National Arts Festival in 2016 and 2017 (Free Souls) and 2018 (The Letter). They have partnered with Sonke Gender Justice in Amathole District Municpality in the rural community’s awareness campaign about Gender Based Violence. Now they bring Mamlambo, the popular show amongst campus student community, to the festival. They possess amazing indigenous talent and story-telling skills.
