My Society

‘My Society’ explores the journey of ‘Spinza’, a troubled young man who lands up in prison. Spinza is from a dysfunctional family and community and has little moral responsibility. The play examines his rage and frustration at his circumstances, and his journey to realisation that he can be the catalyst to change his society. Spinza’s story is commonplace to many young people in South Africa, and his struggle to rise above, and change his circumstances is a familiar one.
