NT Jikwa
NT Jikwa was born in Mdantsane, East London. NT has graduated in ND: Human Resources Management at Cape Peninsula University of Technology and that is where he also received training in the Performing Arts from Thamsanqa Mbongo and has been an active performer. He was cast as a lead actor for a theatre production called “The Spirit of
Shakespeare in Africa” that went to the National Arts Festival in Makhanda. In that same year he got his big break and appeared in a Television series by Bomb Shelter called Nkululeko.

In 2018 he was cast for other film and television roles and it was then that he discovered his skills and passion for writing, cast directing, film and theatre directing. This led to him attending online training sessions to advance his skills. NT Jikwa’s writing and directing debuted in 2019 when he wrote and co-directed an indie short-film, ‘Family, Aren’t We?’ that was publicly well received. That same year he wrote a theatre play called ‘A Religion Apart’ that also went to the National Arts Festival. Through his dedication to the arts NT was recruited to join a growing film production company ‘CUMI MEDIA’ as a head writer and was then promoted to MD of the company. Since then he has been travelling nationally and internationally preaching the gospel of artistry through creating and educating the younger generation and his peers.

In 2021 he was appointed as a Drama Facilitator a position which he is currently holding at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. His latest work includes a sequel of his indie short-film and the creation of “My Society”.

Asavela Zulu
A child born with dreams in MBizana 1996 completed her Diploma in Consumer Science in Food and Nutrition in 2021. I joined the CPUT Performing Arts Society in 2018 and I fell in love with drama and poetry, and that is where I undertook training in both drama and poetry. In 2019 I was very fortunate to be part of a theatre production titled “A Religion Apart” written by NT Jikwa that went to the National Arts Festival in Makhanda. I was presented with a certificate for Best Artistic Growth and Most Improved Artist in 2019 by the CPUT PAS. In 2020 I was elected as an executive member of the CPUTPAS as Secretary following that year I was Chairperson. My ventures have landed me a role in Signal High season 2 which was aired on sabc 2 and in the year following I was a supporting actress for a short film, “Just In Time”, written by NT Jikwa and directed by Misha Solanga. My latest work involves a performance at the
Suidoosterfees at Artscape with the production My Society written and directed by NT Jikwa.

SIPHIWE KOMANISI
Is a fulltime CPUT Architectural Technology student born in Mpumalanga, Fernie. In 2018 he went to study Bachelor of Education at the University of Witwatersrand and that’s where he joined the debate team and started contemporary
dance lessons. In the next following year (2019) he went to study Architectural Technology with CPUT and joined the CPUT Performing Arts Society as a way of developing in the world of entertainment and to enhance his acting and dancing skills. In the same year he became one of the CPUT Cheerleaders for the rugby squad.
In 2020, Siphiwe joined a ballet group from the CPUT Institution and that gave him the confidence to audition for the role of THEO in a play called MY SOCIETY by NT JIKWA. The play went on to be performed in many other theatres including Theatre Arts in Observatory, Cape Town and Artscape in Cape Town CBD.

Thandi Isaacs
Thandi Isaacs was born and raised in Paarl, in the Western Cape in 1998. She went on to study Public Administration and Governance Studies at CPUT (Cape Peninsula University of Technology) and completed her Diploma in 2021 then her Advanced Diploma in Public Administration in 2022. She also obtained a 1-year certificate for participating in Drama and Dancing training from RAO (Rainbow Art Organisation). Thandi was part of the theatre play “A Religion Apart” written by NT Jikwa which she later was awarded certificates by the Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s
Performing Arts Society for Best Actress, Best Vocalist, and Best Supporting Character. She now specialises in Drama and Music and is she is currently part of the play “My Society” written and directed by NT Jikwa.

Prico S. Tono
Prico S. Tono was born in Qumbu (2000), a small town in the Eastern Cape. Prico discovered his love and passion for acting in the year 2015 when he moved to Cape Town. There – while still at high school – he got professional training as an actor. He has participated in a number of theatrical productions, including the Baxter Theatre’s ‘Smart Living
High School Drama Festival’, being his first big performance. In 2016, he was nominated for the Best Actor at the Artscape Theatre’s high school drama festival. After completing Matric, and being accepted as a student at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), he affiliated with the institution’s Performing Arts Society (CPUT PAS), where he continued to grow and nurture his talent, with guidance and mentorship from other trained artists and was awarded Best actor of the society in the year 2019. During this year, he also took part in the 8th Shakespeare School Festival at the Baxter Theatre, playing Trinculo and The Narrator. His last theatrical performance was in 2020, in the Zabalaza Festival, playing Mr Jaku. Apart from that he has also took part in several film productions, including student films, playing a variety of characters. Prico made his debut to the national television screen in 2021 on Mzansi magic, in the movie “Usolo”. As the dedicated actor he is, he is still very present in the industry, in front of the audience and behind the scenes, growing his capabilities.
