South African Pieces is a production that aims to create awareness about the different abuses children experience. It creates awareness through a theoretical storytelling where different children tell and share their stories. The focus is on the consequences of the trauma they experience. In addition, the play aims to bring hope and to heal all the victims and to teach everyone who might not be aware of what children are facing in our society.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
ASEMAHLE TSHAVULA is based in Makhanda and was born in Gqeberha. Acting is his passion and it runs in his veins. In addition to being an actor, he is a co-director of ALA ENTERTAINMENT.
AVIWE DYANTYI, also known as “Hili we Theatre” (23) was born and bred in Makhanda. He is a final year Rhodes University student, majoring in Drama and Industrial and Economic Sociology. He is an aspiring thespian who was introduced to theatre and is mentored by Khaya Kondile. Hili we Theatre made his debut at the National Arts Festival in 2017 in a production called Rhythm of Makhanda, directed by the late Ayanda Nondlwana. He has been cast in many productions, including Clout, Sigela Sonke and Relativity. Awards he has won include The Best Actor in MDDF Seniors and 4th place in ECAYF. He is the co-founder, director and an actor in ALA ENTERTAINMENT.
